LEADERSHIP

District Court Judge, Family Division, since January, 2005. Graduate of the John Marshall Law School, J.D., with distinction, 1977. Licensed practicing attorney for over 27 years prior to being elected District Court Judge. Member, State Bar of Nevada, Clark County Bar Association. Appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court in 1997 as a Settlement Judge to mediate appeals. Experienced arbitrator and mediator.

ETHICS
Served on the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board for the State Bar of Nevada.

EFFICIENCY
Judge Pomrenze has been meeting her goal to move cases efficiently, but also fairly and compassionately, through the Family Court system, to alleviate the stresses on parents, as well as their children, from long drawn-out family disputes. Judge Pomrenze works hard to make sure that our children and their best interests do not get ignored in the process. As the mother of a 19 year old college student, Judge Pomrenze understands the challenges facing parents, our younger citizens and the community at large.

ACCOUNTABILITY
In her role as a Family Court Judge, Judge Pomrenze has honored her duty to uphold the laws of the State of Nevada and applied these laws fairly to all litigants, and their attorneys, who appear before her. "During her ... years on the bench, Pomrenze built a reputation as a solid judge." Commentary, Jane Ann Morrison, Las Vegas Review-Journal, January 28, 2008.
